The Oklahoma Oil and Gas Association is under the leadership of a newly-elected chairman following the Association’s one-day annual meeting in Oklahoma City.

At the meeting, association members elected Wade Hutchings, regional vice president of Mid-Continent Assets at Marathon Oil, to be the new chairman of OKOGA and ratified the board of directors for 2017. Hutchings succeeds Rand Phipps, senior vice president, secretary, general counsel and COO of Mustang Fuel, who served as OKOGA chairman since 2007.

“Rand Phipps has been a strong leader for OKOGA, seeing the association and its members through a difficult season for the industry that took place nationwide and now into a new and promising era of competitive oil and natural gas development in Oklahoma. We look forward to the ongoing role he will play on our board of directors,” said Chad Warmington, President of OKOGA.“I am excited for what’s in store for OKOGA and its members with Wade as chairman and with our new board of directors for 2017. With Wade at the helm, OKOGA is well positioned to be the dominant Oklahoma oil and gas association for our state’s active drillers, developing policies that will help to maximize responsible development.”
