Former Attorney General Larry Derryberry Funeral Services Set for Monday

 

The funeral for former Oklahoma Attorney General Larry Derryberry who died Saturday at the age of 77 will be held Monday afternoon.

U.S. and Oklahoma flags on state property will be flown on that date at half-staff, under orders of Gov. Mary Fallin. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. on the fourth floor rotunda of the state Capitol.

Derryberry served in the State House and once ran for Governor as well as being elected Attorney General, serving from 1971 to 1979. He later formed the law firm of Derryberry and Naifeh, a firm that concentrated on government law, including much work before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Much of the firm’s work also involved the insurance industry and Derryberry represented the American Insurance Association, the National Council on Compensation Insurance, the Oklahoma Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association and several individual insurance companies.
