Some of the latest Hillary Clinton emails released by the website WikiLeaks show how she spent months crafting her position on the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

She came out against the pipeline 13 months ago but only after spending months refusing to publicly take a stance on the $7 billion project that was eventually killed by President Obama.

She also cut all mention of the project from her latest book “Hard Choices,” according to a report in the Daily Caller.

The same release of WikiLeaks documents showed that Clinton, who has in recent months come out against hydraulic fracturing, really supported the process, according to Political Capital.

In a 2013 speech, she pointed out how fracking was developed at the Department of Energy.

“I mean, the whole idea of how fracking came to be available in the marketplace is because of research done by our government. And I’ve promoted fracking in other places around the world,” said Clinton. “The ability to extract both gas and oil from previously used places that didn’t seem to have much more to offer, but now the technology gives us the chance to go in and recover oil and gas.”
