Latest developments at the Dakota Access Pipeline protests in North Dakota.

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a horseback rider who’s accused of charging a police officer during protests over the pipeline. Mason Redwing of South Dakota is wanted on felony charges of terrorizing and reckless endangerment. The officer shouted a warning at him and pointed a shotgun loaded with non-lethal beanbag rounds to defuse the situation.

Work at several of the pipeline construction sites was temporarily stopped this week because of protesters. Finally, the Morton County sheriff’s office said deputies blocked one county road near St. Anthony and told protesters they could not use the road. Residents in the area were alerted and a school in the small town was put on lockdown.

Still no ruling from a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia circuit that heard arguments in the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe’s legal move to block work on the pipeline near Lake Oahe.
