Officials at ONEOK in Tulsa say they’re reviewing orders from a federal agency that issued a $732,000 fine over a 2008 fire at the company’s operations in Bushton, Kansas.

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration issued three Final Orders on Wednesday with required corrective actions and civil penalties totaling $732,100.

The action was taken against ONEOK NGL Pipeline, L.P., ONEOK NGL Pipeline LLC and ONEOK Underground Storage Company LLC.

The agency said the final orders were the result of an investigation into a fire that happened in 2008 at the Bushton facility of ONEOK where investigators found 15 violations of the pipeline safety regulations.

No one was hurt in the fire and ONEOK spokeswoman Stephanie Higgins indicated the company is considering its legal options.
