The Oklahoma Corporation Commission has red tagged an oil tank battery operation in Norman following another leak in a residential neighborhood of Norman.

A spokesman at the OCC indicated the operation of the Frank Tullius battery has been the site of several previous spills in violation of the state regulations enforced by the Commission.

The operator, Rob Arrowood of Trinity Resources Inc. maintains vandalism was behind the latest incident, claiming that someone might have beached the protective fence and tampered with the equipment. He also is at odds with Norman developer Mike Rainer.

“He’s doing everything he can to use city council as his pawns to get advantage on his business venture,” said Arrowood as reported by the Norman Transcript. “I had a tank battery for the second time sabotaged and it was reported to the corporation commission. That particulate tank battery was sabotaged, no ‘ifs,’ ‘ands’ or ‘buts’ about it.”

It’s not the first time the Tullius battery has been ordered “red flagged” by the Commission. So now the State is in the process of filing contempt citations against the operator.

The Commission has previous investigations in 2014 and last year.
