Oil and Gas Money Split on Presidential Candidates

America’s oil and gas industry leaders are apparently split as they pour money into the Presidential campaigns of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

As it stands less than two weeks before voters decide on who to send to the White House, it appears Hillary Clinton has received slightly more money than Trump, according to a report by Reuters.

Since July 1, oil and gas people gave Clinton $114,141 while Trump got $99,302. One who has given to Clinton is former Oklahoma Democratic congressman Dave McCurdy, who is President of the American Gas Association.

“I am moved by the disturbing nature of what I see in Trump’s vision for America on trade, the economy and national security,” he told Reuters. The new organization did not identify him as a long-time Democrat from Oklahoma.
