Houston Firm Hits 1,000 Barrel a Day Well in STACK

The latest 1,000 barrel-a-day plus-well to be hit in Oklahoma’s STACK is reported by Houston, Texas based Oklahoma Energy Acquisitions LP.

The firm’s completion report, as published Thursday by OK Energy Today, indicated the Lankard well saw production of 1,039 barrels of oil a day along with 3,519 Mcf of gas.

The well had an April 4 spud date and drilling was finished April 18 while completion was made September 11.

The Lankard well is located approximately seven miles southeast of Dover and south of the Cimarron River.

Oklahoma Energy Acquisitions was incorporated in 2005 and operates as a subsidiary of Alta Mesa Holdings, LP. Nine months ago, the firm entered into a Joint Development Agreement with Bayou City Energy and its BCE-STACK Development LLC. BCE-STACK Development agreed to finance the drilling of joint wells on the company’s acreage n the core STACK play of Kingfisher county. The drilling program called for the development of 40 wells which will be developed in two tranches of 20 wells each. The development is expected to continue into early next year.
