The head of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association says it’s clear the hope is the state’s oil and gas industry will continue to see improvements to offer relief to the Oklahoma economy.

Writing in the Journal Record, Mike Terry reflected on how the Oklahoma Energy Index recently showed a gain of 100 jobs, a gain that OK Energy Today reported earlier in the month.

“A strengthening and stable oil and natural gas industry is key to the economic success of Oklahoma,” wrote Terry. “As the state’s defining industry, the ups and downs of the energy industry carry the state economy with it.”
