The 20th annual Oklahoma Oil and Gas Expo presented by the OERB and SOER will be held Oct. 6 on the Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.

“It’s our 20th anniversary which we’re very proud of, the longest running and largest oil and gas expo in the state,” declared Katy Spetter, one of the members of the board of directors of Sustaining Oklahoma Energy Resources. She is a sales representative with Lawson Products but previously worked for Schulmberger, Pacer Energy Marketing and American Eagle Title.

More than 200 exhibitors will be on hand an a crowd of 3,400 is expected for the show that will run from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. on that Thursday.

“The number of attendees doesn’t ever seem to go down,” added Spetter. “Even in the downtown, where people believe that they can count on learning new things, seeing people year after year, they made budget decisions and said it was the best show.”

She thinks the turnout will be strong again as the show focuses on small and marginal producers.

“I think one thing we may see this year is what our vendors are presenting to our attendees in light of the downturn.”

As part of the 20th anniversary, the show will feature a drawing for a 2016 Chaparral fish and ski boat, courtesy of Thru Tubing Solutions, Nichols Marine and SOER.
