The estate of the late Aubrey McClendon continues rejecting claims of the hundreds of groups and businesses that contend they are owed money following the energy leader’s death in March 2016.

A report in The Oklahoman indicates two charities are the latest to see their claims rejected. The estate denied a $500,000 claim by the Last Frontier Council of the Boy Scouts of America and a $,7500 claim made by the Arts Council of Oklahoma.

McClendon was an Eagle Scout and also a director of the Last Frontier Council. Some years ago, he made a $1 million pledge to the Council. But now Council CEO Jeff Woolsey said it would not pursue the remaining $500,000.

The estate involves 180 limited liability companies, partnerships, corporations and organizations.
