AIRIS Completes Dust Control Support for Atalaya’s Barnett Well in Elk City

Tulsa-based AIRIS Wellsite Services, a leading expert in dust control solutions to the oil and gas industry, announced completion of another regional dust containment project, according to a company press release issued on Friday.

Atalaya Resources contracted with AIRIS to provide full dust control support in order to protect the health and safety of all onsite personnel by preventing exposure to silica dust. AIRIS provided these services through the operation of a fleet of high-efficiency particulate HEPA vacuum units.

Atalaya’s inaugural well, the Barnett 29/28-11-21 1H, was successfully drilled and brought online near Elk City, Oklahoma.

“Along with ensuring the health and safety of employees in relation to silica dust, dust control also preserves the integrity of equipment and prevents costly downtime,” said Santo Petitto, AIRIS Wellsite Services General Manager.

“We’re looking at an increase in activity as drilled, uncompleted wells are brought to completion,” said Petitto. “Providing total dust control solutions will protect the health of numerous workers, extend the lifespan of critical equipment, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.”

AIRIS operates primarily in the Rocky Mountains, Mid-Continent, Northeast and Texas regions. The company previously operated as KSW Environmental.
