Chesapeake Energy Directors Increase Ownership

Members of the Board of Directors at Chesapeake Energy have increased their holdings in the Oklahoma City energy company.

Filings made with the Securities and Exchange Commission reflected acquisitions of company shares for the directors as well as a newly-named executive. The filings reflected that $0 was paid for most of the shares.

Board chairman Archie Dunham acquired  another 13,617 shares, giving him a total of 2,720,479 shares in the company. Vincent Intrieri picked up 16,885 shares at $0 price but also paid $4.59 each for another 5,447 shares, giving him a total of 143,193 shares in the July 1 transaction.

John Lipinski received 13,617 shares, boosting his ownership to 121,156 shares. Brad Martin acquired 71,351 shares at no price and it left him with 277,047 total shares in Chesapeake Energy. Kimberly Querrey also received 13,617 shares at $0 price. She now has 170,961 shares in one trust and 342,464 shares in another. Thomas Ryan received 19,064 shares at $0 price but acquired another 5,447 at a price of $4.59 each. His total shares for the July 1 transaction were 196,269.

Another director, Merrill Miller Jr. received 16,885 shares and he now has 258,165 shares in the company, according to the SEC documents. The same filing showed Frank Patterson, who was named Executive Vice President of Exploration and Northern Division in April acquired 27,729 shares at a value of $4.28 each. His total share ownership is now 374,069.
