From Politico’s Morning Energy Report on Tuesday:

BUILDING THE BUILD ACT: The Senate yesterday passed by unanimous consent the BUILD Act, S. 1479, a bill co-sponsored by Sens. Jim Inhofe and Ed Markey to improve the reclamation and cleanup of brownfields. Among other provisions, the bill allows the EPA to provide up to $500,000 in grant funding to build solar, wind, or geothermal generation on brownfield sites. “I proudly stand with my colleagues in making a good EPA program even better,” Inhofe said in a statement when the bill was introduced last June. Markey said, “Senator Inhofe and I might not agree on all green jobs creation, but we’re both committed to improving Brownfields utilization.”
