Schlumberger, the world-wide company with operations in Oklahoma City and El Reno has widened its holdings with the purchase of a France-based engineering, manufacturing and service company.
The cost isn’t known but Schlumberger has acquired Saltel Industries, a firm that offers expandable patches and steel packers technology in the oil and gas industry.
Saltel is known for development of expertise and establishment of a commercial track record in inflatable packers and expandable tubulars for steel patches or packer technology applications. Its efficient deployment of expandable steel patches is recognized for effective water shut-off applications in restoring production in wells. Its expandable open steel packer technology is also used in cementing operations.
The company is headquartered in Bruz near Rennes, France and has offices in five locations around the world.
