Sinclair Oil turned 100 years old this month making it the oil industry’s oldest brands….and maybe one of the most recognized because of its famous dinosaur logo.

Based in Salt Lake City, the company was founded May 1, 1916 and has sold fuel and oil in the U.S. as one of the oldest continuous brands in the oil industry. The company is now focused on making Sinclair common sights across the U.S. again.  It is embarking on an aggressive campaign to expand its reach through more gas stations around the nation by 2024.

Sinclair has more than 1,300 stations in 24 states and has a target of doubling the number by 2024. Most growth is expected to take place east of the Mississippi River.

Sinclair, a company with 1,200 employees operates two refineries in Wyoming and a network of both crude oil and finished-product pipelines and terminals in the Rocky Mountain and midcontinent regions.
