Texas energy investor T. Boone Pickens predicts New York business entrepreneur Donald Trump will win the Republican presidential nomination and the White House.
The CEO and Chairman of BP Capital Management said in a recent interview that Trump would be the only candidate to push real change in the US.
Pickens, an Oklahoma native and longstanding generous supporter of Republican Party efforts, said that he has talked to Trump since the developer began his campaign last June.
“Trump’s going to win the nomination – and I think he’ll win the presidency,” said Pickens. “If you want change, there’s only one person who’s going to change it. It’s Trump.”
“We’ve talked about oil,” he said, adding that “I think he understands” how to improve the nation’s energy policy.
Pickens’ endorsement follows the recent sentiments of Continental Resources CEO, Harold Hamm, who also threw his support behind Trump.
