Oklahoma’s Gasoline Prices Hold Steady at $1.82 a Gallon Average

Oklahoma gasoline prices are holding steady this week at an average of $1.82 gallon, according to the latest Fuel Gauge Report from AAA Oklahoma.

The $1.73 a gallon average in McAlester is lowest in the state while Stillwater has the highest average at $1.92 a gallon.

“Pump prices are likely to fluctuate as the supply of summer-blend gasoline continues to make its way to terminals,” explained Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. “Refineries are increasing their utilization rates following the spring maintenance season and as a result, the Energy Information Administration has reported an increase in domestic gasoline inventories, just in time for the beginning of the summer driving season.”

Other gasoline prices around the state include a $1.87 average in Altus, $1.79 in Bartlesville and $1.80 in Enid. Muskogee’s average is $1.76 while the average in Tulsa is $1.77 and the average in Oklahoma City is $1.82. Idabel’s new average is $1.80, a drop from $1.85 a week ago.

The national average price of gasoline dropped on the week for the first time in two months, reaching $2.04 a gallon, still the lowest for this day since 2009.

The nation’s cheapest prices are in Missouri and Oklahoma. Missouri’s average is $1.80 a gallon.
