Corporation Commission Hands Win to Residential Solar Customers of OGE

Solar rooftop users in Oklahoma are celebrating after the Oklahoma Corporation Commission voted 3-0 this week against an Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company plan that opponents argued would be unfair to solar customers.

“The commission’s order finds a lack of evidence to support a charge on solar customers,” said Susan Glick, a spokeswoman for The Alliance for Solar Choice. “In fact, the data OGE has provided in their current rate case shows that solar customers are paying even more than their fair share.”
