New Oil Pay Zone Found in West Central Texas

A Dallas-based energy company says it drilled six straight wells in Coleman County, Texas and hit six straight times. International Western Petroleum, Inc. of Irving recently completed the 6-well drilling program on 220 acres in the county located southwest of Fort Worth.

The Bend Arch Lion 1B Joint Venture expects to start full production on all 6-new producing oil and gas wells sometime this month. With the completion of the drilling program, International Western now owns working interests in 10 wells in the county.

“We believe this is a strong achievement for our company to gain a new foothold in the Central West Texas region, thus strengthening our position in the sub 5,000 foot exploration capability which is our niche in the region,” said Dr. Benjamin Tran, Chairman of International Western Petroleum.

The completion work is underway on the six wells.

“Our next practical step for this new production field is to apply cutting edge intelligent fields technologies to increase productivity and longevity to ensure our continual growth,” said Ross Ramsey, CEO. “We also plan on an Enhanced Oil Recovery program to improve the production of the Bend Arch Lion 1A concession starting this month with additional fracking into its highly producible pay zones.”
