20-cent Jump in Gasoline Prices in Oklahoma in Past Week

In one week, gasoline prices in Oklahoma have rebounded 20-cents a gallon on average as the new statewide average is up to $1.68 a gallon, according to Gas Buddy, the gasoline price website.

The site said the state’s $1.68 average as of Thursday morning compared to $1.48 just one week ago and to the $1.46 average of one month ago. The cheapest gasoline is found in Sayre where the average price is $1.33 a gallon. Grandfield’s average is $1.38 while Whiteoak has a $1.41 average and Altus and Jay have averages of $1.45 a gallon unleaded regular.

Oklahoma City’s average has climbed to $1.69 a gallon, exactly 20 cents a gallon higher than last week at this time. A month ago, Oklahoma City’s average was $1.44 a gallon. The cheapest gasoline in the Oklahoma City metro is $1.49 in Bethany and $1.52 in southeast Oklahoma City.

The average in Tulsa was $1.66 a gallon, an increase of 22 cents a gallon in the past week. A month ago, Tulsa’s average was $1.48. It’s cheapest gasoline is now being pumped at $1.49 a gallon.
