New Chairman at Oil States International

The former CEO of EOG Resources, Mark Papa has taken over as chairman of the board of Oil States International Inc. in Houston. He replaces Stephen Wells who has resigned after 10 years leading the company. Wells will continue as director of the company and a member of the board’s nomination committee.

Papa has served as a director for Oil States since February of 2001. He is also a partner in New York-based Riverstone Holdings LLC, a private equity firm with offices in Houston. Oil States makes products for deepwater and drilling operations and carries out completion services. It reported revenue of more than $234 million for the fourth quarter of 2015 and about $1.1 billion for the full year 2015. The quarterly revenue was down nearly 51 percent while the year-to-date figure was down 40 percent.

Oil States International has operations throughout the Midwest including four offices in Oklahoma: Oklahoma City, Elk City, Krebs and Cameron.
