Earnings Reports Coming this Week from Three Oklahoma Energy Companies

A big week for three Oklahoma based energy companies as we learn more about their financial status during this prolonged oil and gas downturn. Devon Energy, Seventy Seven Energy Inc. and Williams Cos. will release their fourth quarter and full-year 2015 earnings reports.

Devon will begin the week by releasing its results on Tuesday, Feb. 16 after the close of the U.S. financial markets. A news release should be posted a short time later at the company website, www.devonenergy.com.

Company leaders will then hold a conference call at 10 a.m. Oklahoma time on Wednesday where they will answer questions from analysts and investors. The conference call will also be available on a webcast link at the company website. Some observers wonder whether the company might announce more details of its previously announced move in January to begin layoffs of workers before the end of March. At the time of the announcement, Devon said the layoffs were necessary due to continued low oil and natural gas prices.

“After careful consideration, it’s clear that layoffs will be a necessary part of the company’s near-term cost-management efforts,” said Devon in a statement at the time.

Seventy Seven Energy Inc. will release its quarterly and annual results on Wednesday, Feb. 17 before the markets open. It will hold a conference call later in the day at 3 p.m. The call will also be webcast live on www.77nrg.com in the “Investors” section.

Tulsa-based Williams and Williams Partners will release their year-end 2015 financial results after the market closes on Wednesday. The company and the partnership will hold a a joint conference call and live webcast on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 8:30 a.m. Oklahoma time. The webcast will be at
