North Dakota to Consider another Bakken Pipeline

North Dakota might see construction of another crude oil pipeline.

State regulators are planning a hearing on Jan. 12 for the proposed 8-mile long Sacagawea Pipeline Co.’s line that carries a $18 million price tag.

The 12-inch diameter crude oil pipeline would be built in Mountrail County, carrying oil from the Palermo Rail Facility owned by Phillips 66 to the Enbridge oil terminal in Stanley. Mountrail County is located in northwest North Dakota in the heart of the Bakken oil play.

If approved by the North Dakota Public Service Commission, the line would carry a maximum capacity of 100,000 barrels a day.
