Crude Ends Week on the Positive Side

Crude oil prices ended the week on an up note Friday. March West Texas Intermediate crude added 40 cents to settle at $33.62 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. March Brent crude settled at $34.74 a barrel after adding 85 cents on the London ICE Futures Exchange.

Baker Hughes latest report that active oil rigs declined last week helped boost prices. The number of active oil rigs fell by 12 for a total of 498 rigs.

March natural gas jumped 11.6 cents to end trade at $2.298 per million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
