CNG Pumps on Turnpike Being Replaced to Allow for Faster Fueling

It’s only a temporary shutdown for the compressed natural gas fueling station on the Turner Turnpike at the travel plaza near Stroud. Improvements are being made to allow for the faster fueling of CNG powered cars and trucks.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority has announced the EZ Go station at the plaza will be closed to allow for installation of faster pumps. The announcement indicated the installation will take nearly two months before the pumps will be operational. Part of the work involves the installation of a new high-pressure gas line so it means the pumps won’t be functioning until about the first of the new year.
